About Us
We are a small clinic in Northwest Arkansas, servicing the NW Arkansas and NE Oklahoma areas, offering personized care to dogs and cats only. We provide general care including Wellness, Medical, Surgical, Diagnostic and Dentistry. We strive to make your experience a positive one, providing care to our clients and patients since 1994. At Gentry Veterinary Clinic we strive to promote companion wellness. We are able to refer to a specialist for any services your pet may require that we do not render.

Our Veterinary Team
Desirae Self
DVM
Desirae Self is a long-time resident of this community, as she grew up in Colcord, OK. She received her AA from NEO A& M University in Miami, OK, and her BS from OSU, where she graduated with her DVM. After graduation, she practiced in Wister, OK, and Siloam Springs, AR, before opening the Gentry Veterinary Clinic in January of 1994. The clinic started as a mixed animal facility until 2006, when it became a dog and cat-exclusive clinic. Since opening Gentry Veterinary Clinic in 1994, Dr. Self and her staff have strived to provide the best care available to their patients while showing compassion to their clients.
Desirae enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. Her family runs a small commercial cattle operation, and in her free time, she enjoys remodeling and crafting.
Haley Borgeteien-James
Haley was born and raised in Gentry, AR, and graduated from JBU in 2022 with a BA in Chemistry and a BS in Biology. She has many pets, including dogs, cats, fish, chickens, and a tortoise. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and cooking. She loves animals of all kinds and wants to give them each the care and time they deserve.
Abby Davis
Assistant
Abbie was raised on a small farm in Decatur, AR. She is attending the U of A in the fall to pursue a degree in Animal Science. Growing up on a farm and caring for the animals has driven her to a career in Veterinary Medicine; her goal is to become a veterinarian. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and driving around. Her favorite thing is to spend time at the creek with her dog, Hondo.
Madison Voyles
Madison is from Gentry and loves working at the Gentry Veterinary Clinic, where she gets to learn and care for animals. She has two cats, Dutchess and Bella, and a dog named Bear. She also enjoys spending time outdoors at the lake and playing softball. She plans to attend Crowder College in the fall to pursue a career as a Vet Tech.
Lana Jones
Assistant
Lana lives in West Siloam Springs, OK, and is planning to attend OSU in the fall. She will major in Animal Science in the PET-Vet Program to become a veterinarian. Outside of work she is a competitive dancer, loves to paint, read and care for her large collection of house plants. Lana has 2 dogs, Ranger and Lucky, and 3 cats, Si, Willie, and Sadie.
Brittany Huddleston
Veterinary Receptionist / Animal Advocate
Brittany was born and raised in Gentry and recently returned to the area. Brittany has two cats, one of which she adopted from the clinic soon after starting. She is passionate about animal care and customer service and enjoys keeping things lively in the clinic and being ornery when the time allows.
Fred Lizama
Veterinary Assistant and Computer Guy
Fred is the roamer of the clinic. He fixes items around the clinic, to include our equipment/computers, and helps out anywhere else he can. After the Marine Corps he obtained his BS in HR Management, MS in Public administration, and MS in Data Analytics. He likes to spend his time with his family and has a hobby of going on long distance outdoor adventures like the Appalachian Trail and paddling the entire Missouri section of the Missouri River.
